GeoCue
announced the release of LP360 Project
Publisher. LP360 Project Publisher is a free application
that allows users to create metadata for a collection of
point cloud files (in LAS format) and, optionally, pub-
lish to ArcGIS
®
Online. With LP360 Project Publisher
users can generate a shape file containing features that
represent (one feature per file) the Minimum Bounding
Rectangle of each LAS file as well as associated meta-
data (file name, point counts and so forth). To download

Topcon Positioning Group
announced the new
FC-336 data controller designed specifically for the
construction industry. In addition to providing field
crews with access to MAGNET™ Enterprise to send
and receive data files, the new controller operates with
Topcon MAGNET Field, Site and Layout software, as
well as Topcon Pocket 3D. The compact, lightweight
handheld controller works with all Topcon GNSS

Terrence Keating
, Chief
Technology Officer of Quantum
Spatial, Inc., has decided to step
down from his daily involvement
with the company operation.
Keating joined Quantum Spatial
(then Aero-Metric, Inc.) in 2007.
During his tenure at Quantum
Spatial, he was instrumental in
the adoption of several key new technologies and plat-
forms, process improvements, and strategic partner-
ships, as well as the implementation of a company-wide
quality assurance system.
Ryan Elizabeth Bowe,
GISP,
a
staff member at Photo
Science, Inc. a Quantum Spatial
Company, has been named
Urban and Regional Information
Systems Association’s (URISA)
Young Professional of the Year.
This award is in recognition of
her outstanding efforts as part
of URISA’s Vanguard Cabinet. Bowe has 11 years of
experience providing GIS support. She compiles and
oversees the management of metadata creation for
Photo Science. In addition to being an active member of
URISA and a founding board member and secretary of
a local chapter of URISA in Kentucky and Tennessee,
she is working with the ASPRS Young Professionals
Council. Bowe is also involved in GISP, GISCI, and of
the Kentucky Association of Mapping Professionals
(KAMP).
Tara Tate
joins DAT/EM Systems International as
Marketing Coordinator at their Anchorage-based
headquarters. She joins DAT/EM—and Alaska—from
California where she earned her bachelor’s degree
from the University of California at Santa Cruz with
a major in Anthropology and a minor in History of Art
and Visual Culture. Tate was formerly in Monterey,
California, where she spearheaded the Marketing and
Communications efforts of the Monterey Peninsula
Chamber of Commerce.
Josh Novac,
GISP was promoted
to associate
in the
Dewberry Denver, Colorado office. Novac is experienced
in GIS, photogrammetry, and remote sensing; and has
managed projects throughout the country, including
Florida, New Jersey, Los Angeles County, and South
Carolina. Novac has a bachelor’s degree in anthropol-
ogy and a certificate in geographic information science
from Indiana University. He is a certified geographic
information systems professional and is a member of
ASPRS.
Hexagon announced changes within itsTechnology
Division and new appointments to Group Management.
Hexagon Solutions will be headed by Claudio Simão,
President South America. The group is responsible
for guiding the direction and expansion of Hexagon’s
Smart Solutions portfolio. AtIntergraph, Steven Cost,
Intergraph CFO, replaces John Graham as President,
Intergraph SG&I following Graham’s resignation.
Intergraph’s geospatial technology portfolio remains
under the leadership of Mladen Stojic but has been
split out from Intergraph SG&I. It is now part of
Hexagon Geospatial, with Stojic as President.
