The State of New Lidar Technologies

hope that you will not be disappointed with this article once
you know that I am not talking about a new discovery by the
Hubble telescope or a Hollywood actor or actress nominated
for an Oscar. What I am going to discuss in this article is solely
related to a course of events that have been changing the
mapping industry.
From Photogrammetry to Lidar
If you have followed the evolution of mapping practices and
technologies used over the years, you will recognize the major
stages or eras that have led us to where we are today in the map-
