COUNCIL (SAC)!
W
e have some exciting news and interesting updates for you this month. We
are happy to announce the new council members that will be joining the
SAC this year.
Jason Blankenship, Deputy Chair
Xin Hong, Deputy Education and Professional Development Councillor
Cody O’Dale, Networking Councilor
Briana Williams, Deputy Networking Councilor
Anthony Campbell, Deputy Communications Councilor
and the exciting new position of Campus Ambassador will be filled by Bobby Arlen
The SAC felt that a liaison between University chapters and
ASPRS was an important component of the growing society.
The new Campus Ambassador position will seek to expand
student memberships as well as to improve communications
between student members and SAC. These new members are
excited to learn their roles while serving our members as best
they can.
The SAC would also like to draw your attention to the
following activities in the ASPRS:

IGTF 2017
The coming year holds another exciting conference
opportunity with IGTF taking place in Baltimore,
Maryland from March 11 to 17, 2017. This is a
great opportunity to network and learn about the
latest in photogrammetry and remote sensing. Keep

Scholarships 2017
Another exciting opportunity for our student
members is the variety of scholarship opportunities
that are currently open and accepting applications
through ASPRS. There are a variety of opportunities
from financial awards to your own cache of satellite
imagery. We encourage all our student members to
apply for these awards!

ASPRS Student Chapters
We would like to ensure all ASPRS student chapters
are receiving vital information from the SAC. Our
Deputy Networking Chair- Ms. Briana Williams will
be composing a student chapter directory to keep
student members informed of updates in the ASPRS
community.
