ANNOUNCEMENTS
Joe Cantz, the Photogrammetry and Re-
mote Sensing (PRS) discipline leader at
, was named to the American
Society for Photogrammetry and Remote
Sensing
Board of Directors at
the annual Imaging and Geospatial
Technology Forum (IGTF) conference
this month.
Cantz, a certified GIS professional
and photogrammetrist, was selected to
lead the Corporate Members Council. This is the first ASPRS
board appointment for the Woolpert associate, who has been a
member of ASPRS since 2000.
Cantz said this council is vital to maintaining relationships
and facilitating communication between corporations/service
providers and ASPRS.
“I am excited to be a part of this fantastic organization
moving forward, particularly leading the Corporate Members
Council,” he said. “We came out with a renewed energy from
our conference and are looking to continue it into the future.
As we move ahead, we are looking to renew the involvement of
many existing geospatial companies as well as add new ones
to ASPRS.”
Cantz has been integral to several Woolpert PRS collections
for multiple departments of transportation, FEMA, the U.S.
Army Corps of Engineers and various other governmental
agencies.
“Joe is a tremendous ambassador of the geospatial commu-
nity, and we are very honored to celebrate his ASPRS board
nomination,” said Kirk McClurkin, Woolpert’s geospatial di-
rector. “His wealth of knowledge and future geospatial contri-
butions will continue to grow Woolpert’s world-renowned and
industry-leading team of geospatial professionals.”

professionals around the world.
Precision Aerial Reconnaissance (PAR, LLC), a Service Dis-
abled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), has been
selected as a Small Business awardee for the third iteration
of the US Geological Survey (USGS) Geospatial Products and
Services Contract (GPSC III), a contract that is predominantly
used to collect aerial imagery, LiDAR and other forms of geo-
spatial data in support of USGS’s National Map. GPSC III is a
five-year multi-award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity
(IDIQ) contract vehicle with a shared value of $750 Million.
PAR’s contract is going to be administered and managed by
Mr. Ray Brouillette, an accomplished geospatial professional
having managed large Federal programs similar in scope to
the USGS GPSC III contract.
“The employees here at PAR are very excited to have been
awarded this contract and are  appreciative to agencies like
the USGS for their continued support of Service Disabled Vet-
eran Owned Small Businesses, and the broader small business
community,” says Tim Summey, Vice President of PAR, LLC.
“This contract represents the culmination of our company’s
dedication to delivering high quality geospatial data products
to the Federal Government to support important missions, like
flood risk mapping.”
One of the many initiatives that the USGS GPSC III con-
tract helps support is the USGS’s 3DEP Program: an intergov-
ernmental partnership program between Federal, State, and
Local agencies whose mission is to obtain high-quality eleva-
tion data throughout the U.S. in support of flood mapping and
inundation studies. The aerial imagery and LiDAR is also used
to support many other missions, including performing land
cover change detection and updates to our nation’s basemaps.
About PAR, LLC: PAR, LLC is a Service Disabled Veteran
Owned Small Business based in Bossier City, LA. PAR’s focus
is on high quality airborne geospatial data collection and GIS
services to help meet the nation’s needs for updated, critical
mapping data products.
