updates and news about the 2018 ASPRS Annual Conference and
International Lidar Mapping Forum in Denver, Colorado.
The abstract deadline has closed and we are currently reviewing abstracts to include in our SAC technical sessions and look
forward to reaching out to our student participants. We will share more details about the content of these sessions in the near
future. In addition to our standard sessions we are unveiling a revamped
GeoLeague Challenge

This year’s
GeoLeague Challenge
will be in the format of a
trivia game show where students, professionals, and professors
compete for prizes! Contestants will work in teams to test their
knowledge on a diverse range of topics in remote sensing, lidar,
GIS, GPS, geography and more. The competition will be in front
of an audience, who, under certain circumstances can help
answer difficult questions. Between rounds, you can network
with your fellow teammates, participants, or frantically read
textbooks to brush up on the trivia. On top of all the fun, the
top three teams have the chance to win awesome prizes!
If you are interested in participating in the

Challenge

The employee student meet and greet is a conference highlight
for student participants. Whether looking for a job or just
interested in hearing industry leaders talk about interesting
opportunities, the meet and greet is a great experience. Bring
a resume and plan on attending this session.
Another highlight is the social interaction fostered at the
annual conference from casual conversations with preemi-
nent scholars to getting to know fellow students. During this
annual conference SAC will be focusing on facilitating inter-
action between student members through a field trip open to
all students attending the conference. In the coming months
we look forward to announcing details on this trip.
