Description
This 4-hour curriculum is structured to provide a holistic view of the UAS mapping lifecycle. The session begins by establishing a strong safety culture, covering UAS basics and FAA Part 107 regulations, confirming that all operations comply with federal laws and University of Florida campus policies. Participants will then transition into Mission Planning and Workflow, learning how to translate project requirements into effective flight plans. The training culminates in a technical deep-dive into Data Processing, where students will explore the distinct outputs of photogrammetry and LiDAR, and learn to apply ASPRS Accuracy Standards to validate their results. This progression verifies that by the end of the workshop, attendees understand not only how to capture data but how to confirm it meets professional accuracy requirements. Key Benefits:  •Industry-Aligned Curriculum: A structured 4-hour course covering the complete UAS mapping lifecycle, from mission planning to ASPRS accuracy standards.  •Expert-Led Instruction: Training delivered by active industry consultants and certified operators with extensive field experience.  •Actionable Insights: Focus on real-world workflows, ensuring participants understand not just how to fly, but why specific data collection methods are used. This workshop is free for ASPRS Student Members.
