Joel was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend of many.
He definitely left his mark on all he met.
Joel Nevin O’Neal, 53, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away
Monday, August 18, 2014.
Born Nov. 18, 1960, in Columbus, he was the son of Darrel
M. and Creta Weikert O’Neal and stepmother June Freeman
O’Neal. On July 2, 1983, at First Church of the Nazarene, he
married the love of his life, Rhonda Fay O’Neal.
Joel graduated from Ivy Tech with a business degree and was
vice president of OAS Inc. at Freeman Field. He was a member
of Seymour Christian Church and their praise team and was
also a deacon there. He was a member of the American Society
for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing and was certified in
photogrammetry.
Survivors include his father, Darrel M. O’Neal; wife,
Rhonda; children, Nicklaus Nevin (Amelia) O’Neal and Arron
Clay O’Neal (fiance, Kena Brown); one grandchild, Madelayne
Alexis O’Neal; brother, John (Brenda) O’Neal; sister, Amy
Ogilvie (Cary Phillips); and mother-in-law, Linda O’Neal.
Hewas preceded in death by hismother, Creta PearlWeikert;
stepmother, Vera June Freeman; paternal grandparents,
Morton O’Neal and Inez O’Neal; and maternal grandparents,
William Phillip Weikert and Helen Weikert.
