Figures 4 and 5, it can clearly be seen that: (1) the SNR
of the pansharpened image is much higher than that of
the original high resolution MS image; (2) the color of
the pansharpened image is almost the same as those of
the 4×4 binned low resolution MS image and the origi-
nal high resolution MS image; and (3) the spatial detail
of the pansharpened MS image is identical to that of the
original high resolution Pan image. It can also be ob-
served that the color of the original high resolution MS
image appears slightly different than those of the 4×4
binned low resolution MS image and the pansharpened
MS image, because of the presence of the photon noise
in the original high resolution MS image.
