ANNOUNCEMENTS
In early October 2017,
GeoCue Group
launched GetLIDAR.
com to provide free and direct access to pre-event imagery and
lidar data for the hurricane-stricken areas of Texas and Flor-
ida. Now, GeoCue has added lidar data for the coastal areas
of Puerto Rico. Some 6,033 lidar files from 2004 and 2015 are
now available from GetLIDAR.com.
The data are provisioned on GeoCue Group’s Earth Sensor
Platform (ESP), hosted in Amazon Web Services, and are avail-
able at GetLIDAR.com. The data catalogued in GetLIDAR.
com has been provided by the United States Geological Service
(USGS), Texas Natural Resources Information System (TNRIS),
National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA),
and the Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) and includes:
• LIDAR data in both American Society for Photogrammetry
and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) LAS format as well as com-
pressed LAZ format.
• 50 cm orthophotography in US Geologic Survey (USGS)
quarter quad format for the Harris county area, provided
by the Texas Natural Resources Information System (TN-
RIS). Collected on behalf of the Houston-Galveston Area
Council (H-GAC).
• 2004 USACE LIDAR and 2015 National Oceanic and At-
mospheric Administration (NOAA) NGS Topobathy LIDAR
data in LAS or LAZ format from NOAA for Puerto Rico.
• US Department of Agriculture National Aerial Imagery
Program (NAIP) for all areas.
• Landsat 8 data for all areas.

AirGon LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of the
GeoCue
Group
, is pleased to announce that it has been appointed an
official DJI Enterprise Dealer. This new appointment will en-
able AirGon to offer the full range of DJI products, including
its Industrial lines of drones.
“Since we released the AirGon Loki PPK direct geoposition-
ing system for the DJI Inspire 2, we have had many industrial
customers ask us to bundle the drone with the positioning hard-
ware and software,” said Lewis Graham, President and CTO of
GeoCue/AirGon. “Being able to ship the drone from our office
will enable us to precalibrate the X4S camera for our customers,
a critical step in high accuracy mapping applications. We are
extremely pleased that DJI sees our value in their marketplace
and have appointed us an Enterprise Dealer.”
“AirGon has a unique solution for applying DJI’s indus-
try-standard technology to high accuracy mapping projects,”
said Jenna Zhao, DJI Enterprise Sales. “AirGon recently flew
a mine site project with several hundred feet of vertical re-
lief, a difficult challenge for photogrammetric mapping. Using
a DJI Inspire 2 with an AirGon calibrated DJI X4S camera
and the AirGon Loki PPK direct geopositioning system, they
achieved a vertical accuracy of 0.11 feet (3.4 cm) RMSE with
no ground control. This result shows that DJI drone data is
able to match industry accuracy standards while significantly
reducing site preparation times for high accuracy topograph-
ic mapping. We are pleased to add AirGon to our Enterprise
Dealer network as they enable DJI platforms to address the
neads of high accuracy surveying clients.”
DJI technology is available immediately from AirGon.
Altavian, Inc., a leading manufacturer of Unmanned Aerial
Vehicle (UAV) systems and components, announced today that
it was awarded General Services Administration (GSA) Sched-
ule contract. This contract facilitates agencies of the U.S. gov-
ernment to acquire Altavian’s UAV products. Altavian is the
first U.S.-based UAV hardware manufacturer awarded a GSA
Schedule contract.
The GSA Schedule contract establishes fixed prices for Altavi-
an products for any U.S. Government agency or approved entity.
This enables government agencies to directly purchase products,
with predetermined cost and delivery terms, from Altavian.
Altavian is also pleased to announce that our service offer-
ings have been added to the GSA schedule. Federal agencies
can now use the contract directly with Altavian for UAV Flight /
Data Acquisition Services with a simplified rate structure. Alta-
vian UAV’s are capable of generating color or near-infrared ort-
horectified aerial imagery as well as carrying video payloads for
color and infrared real-time video for a variety of data products.
