GREETINGS FROMTHE STUDENT ADVISORY COUNCIL (SAC)!
T
he holidays are behind us and now is the time to get excited for the ASPRS
and ILMF joint Conference in Denver, Colorado from February 5-7. The
annual conference is a great place to share research, network, and learn about
exciting developments in our field.

The annual conference is co-located with ILMF which is a great reason to attend
this year. Students will have more opportunities to learn and network with an
even bigger audience.
Student internships are available for the annual conference. To be eligible you must
be currently enrolled as a student and able to work throughout the conference. In
turn your hotel room and conference registration are covered. This is a great way
to defray some of the costs of conference attendance. The application process will
open soon. Check the ASPRS website for updates.
An important note
: SAC members get preferential consideration for student
internships, which is a great reason to
apply now at

The SAC is contacting student chapters
to develop better connections between
the local chapters and the national or-
ganization. Members of the SAC are
evaluating the current state of ASPRS
Student Chapters nationwide. In an ef-
fort to register new chapters, revive old
ones, and connect with active chapters,
the SAC is implementing a registration
and performance review program.
To facilitate further collaboration, the
SAC intends to host a Student Chap-
ters Meeting during the annual confer-
ence. More info to come in next month’s
