the annual conference structure. The NTPC was created to
give the annual conferences a new design and incorporate
the ideas from each of the main branches of ASPRS. The
NTPC is composed of people from academia, commercial
and government. This gives a wide perspective to the needs
from each group and assures that each side is represented
throughout the conference in structure and in planning.
Reduced Concurrent Technical Sessions
In the past, attendees have expressed their concern with
the amount of concurrent technical sessions. There were
many topic areas they were interested in and yet, the single
attendee could not attend all the sessions they would have
liked. In answer to that concern, we have reduced the
number of concurrent technical sessions at IGTF 2015. And
the structure of the planning has changed in order to better
accommodate the core values of ASPRS and the attendees
business needs. Each technical session is now arranged by
an ASPRS Division, Committee or supporting organization
who has taken an interest in being a contributing part of the
IGTF. This is an exciting new spin on technical sessions and
we are anticipating a fantastic program in 2015!
Increased Involvement for the Regular Attendee
ASPRS conferences have been explained as being “exclusive”
for many and the regular attendee was not able to participate
in many of the auxiliary events, lunches and networking
experiences. IGTF 2015 has opened those doors and is making
a concerted effort to incorporate plenty of networking and social
experiences into the conference experience. The prestigious
ASPRS Awards have been made more accessible in 2015 and
will be presented at either the Welcome Reception on Tuesday,
May 5, 2015 or at the Awards Dessert Reception, following
the Exhibitors’ Reception on Wednesday, May 6, 2015. All of
these events have been made accessible for the Full Conference
attendee and are complimentary with the purchase of their full
conference registration. In addition, the Memorial Address and
Employer Meet & Greet are now made part of the technical
session plan. Therefore, attendees will be able to attend either
event, if they so choose, during the day of technical sessions.
The exact date and time for both the Memorial Address and
Employer Meet & Greet have yet to be determined, please keep
checking the online schedule for more information.
The Shortened Schedule

You will notice a very striking
change from the previous program plan…the actual technical
program has been reduced! ASPRS has heard your ideas,
we’ve listened to your suggestions and we have cut the
program by one-half day. It doesn’t sound like much on paper,
but the reality of the change is significant. We know your
schedules do not allow for you to be away from your desk for
an entire week and we feel your pain, so we have reduced the
overall schedule to two full days of conference programing.

most three days away from your office. Hopefully, this drastic
change will result in more attendees being able to attend
IGTF 2015.
Enticing & Notable Keynote Speakers
The NTPC has been working very hard to bring attendees
a conference program that is relevant to business needs of
today. Not only are the technical sessions more relevant and
relatable, but the keynote speakers throughout the conference
have been re-imagined and re-thought. IGTF 2015 hopes
to incorporate keynote speakers who will entice attendees
to the conference while providing exciting and interesting
discussions. The planning committee has been working to
procure speakers with great messages and fantastic delivery
with names you will know and want to see. Maybe we won’t
have Bill Gates at our conference…but, then again…will we?

As you can see, ASPRS conferences are changing and we are
excited to welcome the changes. We hope you are excited for
the changes as well and will be able to join ASPRS in Tampa,
May 5, 6 and 7, 2015 for a great conference and the new IGTF
2015.
