T
he end of summer is the perfect time to begin the application process
for ASPRS Scholarships and Awards. ASPRS has over $50,000 dollars in
student scholarships for both graduate and undergraduate students! These
scholarships are awarded during the annual conference being held January
28-30, 2019 in Denver, Colorado.
The application process begins in the early fall. August is a great time to begin preparing the necessary materials for your
applications including transcripts, personal statements, and recommendations. Official transcripts and recommendations can
take time to process or write! Below we highlight the focus, award, and required application materials for a few scholarships.

cholarship
A scholarship open to both undergraduates and graduate students studying
photogrammetry and surveying. The award includes a check and a one-year
membership to ASPRS. In your application be sure to have a list of courses related
to surveying, photogrammetry and GIS, a copy of your transcripts, two letters of
recommendation, and a personal statement detailing your research goals and long-
term career objectives.

cholarship
A scholarship for undergraduates and graduate students with a focus on the theoret-
ical aspects of photogrammetry. The successful applicant should include a two page
personal statement focused on the applicant’s plans to study theoretical photogram-
metry. Any related research documents, and official academic transcripts.

S
cholarship
A scholarship for graduate students with a focus on new and innovative uses of
remote sensing data/techniques that relate to the natural, cultural, or agricultural
resources of the Earth. The successful applicant should include a two page personal
statement detailing applicant’s educational and career plans for continuing studies in
remote sensing applications. Any related research documents, and official academic
transcripts.
