GREETINGS FROM THE STUDENT ADVISORY
COUNCIL (SAC)
T
he fall semester is almost behind us and now is the time to get excited for
Geo Week this January in Denver, Colorado.
The ASPRS’ annual conference will take place in Denver,
Colorado from 28-30 January 2018 during Geo Week.
Student attendees will be able to share research, to network
and to learn about exciting developments in remote sensing,
GIS, and photogrammetry.
Geo Week is co-located with ILMF and MAPPS winter
conference which is a great reason to attend this year.
Students will have more opportunities to learn and network
with an even bigger audience. Student members of ASPRS
can save 50 USD on registration! These savings cover the
cost of ASPRS membership, so be sure to join ASPRS as a
student member before registering.
The SAC will be organizing student paper and poster
sessions during the annual conference. These sessions
highlight excellent student research and are great ways to
support graduate and undergraduate research. More info to
come in next month’s
PE&RS
.

Too young to drive the car? Perhaps!
But not too young to be curious about geospatial sciences.
The ASPRS Foundation was established to advance the understanding and use of spatial data for the
betterment of humankind. The Foundation provides grants, scholarships, loans and other forms of aid to
individuals or organizations pursuing knowledge of imaging and geospatial information science and
technology, and their applications across the scientific, governmental, and commercial sectors.
Support the Foundation, because when he is ready so will we.
