In Memoriam
John J. Graham Jr.
1929-2018
ASPRS Past President
John J. Graham was a 43 year employee of Eastman Kodak Company. He
began in the mailroom in 1946 and ended his career as the Manager of
Kodak Aerial Systems in 1989. During his time there he helped establish
the Rochester Chapter of the Society of Motion Picture and Television En-
gineers. He joined ASPRS in 1970 and served as the Vice-President (1987),
National President (1988) and Past President (1989). He was elected an
Honorary Member in 1995. He was also instrumental in obtaining the
$50,000 Kodak contribution to the new ASPRS building fund in 1989.
In retirement he still
loved
photography,
taking many photos of
his family and friends,
Space Shuttle launch-
es/returns and satellite
launches. He and his
wife Eva were known
for hosting people from
all over the world in
Cocoa Beach just as
they did at their home
in Rochester, New
York. If you were a customer of Kodak working with John, you would al-
ways be invited to his house for a home cooked meal. He knew what it was
like to travel and be away from home, living out of a suitcase. He wanted
to bring a piece of home to these people who missed their own family. They
inevitably became longtime friends to him and his family.
He was a special man and is sadly missed by his wife of 69 years, Eva;
children: Bob (Leslie); John IV; Jennifer (Joe) Nasso; grandchildren: Tyler
(Monica) Graham; Erica Graham; great granddaughter; Addison Graham.
We will be forever grateful to him for his love, laughter and opening our
eyes to the world.
