ANNOUNCEMENTS
GeoCue Group
, in partnership with the United States Geo-
logical Survey and with support from the Texas Natural Re-
sources Information System (TNRIS) is providing free access
to pre-event LIDAR and imagery data in the areas impacted
by hurricanes Harvey and Irma.
The available data include:
• LIDAR data in both American Society for Photogramme-
try and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) LAS format as well as
compressed LAZ format
• 50 cm orthophotography in USGS quarter quad format for
the Harris County, Texas area
• US Department of Agriculture National Aerial Imagery
Program (NAIP) for all areas
• Landsat 8 data for all areas
The data are provisioned on GeoCue Group’s Earth Sen-
sor Platform (ESP), hosted in Amazon Web Services, and are
available at
ESP is a joint project developed
by GeoCue Group and Teledyne Technologies, originally in
support of Teledyne’s Multi-User System for Earth Sensing
(MUSES), a remote sensing host platform located on the Inter-
national Space Station.
is pleased to announce a new cooperative
agreement with
Ger-
many, a long-time industry leader in the development, sale,
deployment and service of advanced remote sensing technolo-
gies within Europe and abroad.
The partnership of Teledyne Optech and IGI serves to bene-
fit both parties significantly. By jointly leveraging their exper-
tise they will add new product innovations to both companies’
product portfolios. It also provides Teledyne Optech with a lidar
and camera service footprint within Europe that was previously
handled remotely with in-field service technicians from Canada.
The first product created from this cooperation will be on dis-
play at INTERGEO 2017, Berlin, at IGI stand C1.038 in hall 1.1.
This is an
high-precision lidar sensor driven by
IGI’s CCNS-5 flight management system and their AEROcon-
trol Compact inertial solution for small to mid-size area projects
and/or high-precision corridor surveying. The sensor features a
Class 1 laser capable of 800-m range performance on 10% reflec-
tive targets (8 pts/m2 at 100 knots), parallel scan lines, and a
tightly-integrated IGI DigiCAM-100 camera.

SPECTRAL EVOLUTION
par-
ticipates in 2017 Microbial Diver-
sity Course at the Marine Biolog-
ical Laboratory at Woods Hole,
Massachusetts.
The Marine Biological Labo-
ratory’s Summer Education Pro-
gram attracts a large crowd of
graduate students, professors and established researchers.
This year, SPECTRAL EVOLUTION participated by provid-
ing an SR-1900 spectroradiometer for use by course partici-
pants in the investigation of microbial colonies in the field and
in the lab. The SR-1900 has been used in the course since 2014.
Dr. Kurt Hanselmann of the Microbial Diversity Faculty
once again used the SR-1900 for field and laboratory experi-
ments. Also for the first time they conducted kinetic measure-
ments.
The SR-1900 field spectroradiometer has a spectral range of
350-1900nm using a 512-element UV-enhanced silicon photo-
diode array and a 256-element extended InGaAs photodiode
array. It is ideal for use in the field or in the lab and also in-
cludes DARWin SP Data Acquisition software.

Cornerstone Energy Services and Kappa Mapping have
reached an agreement to join forces. The combination of these
two well-respected companies will enable Clients in the ener-
gy, municipal, and environmental industries to take advan-
tage of a wide variety of mapping, survey, engineering, and
land services.
The Kappa team will continue to operate from the Bangor
office, and will be offering mapping services from all the Cor-
nerstone locations throughout the United States. We will be
working to expand and integrate these mapping services both
geographically and in concert with Cornerstone’s engineering,
survey and real estate offerings. This office will also continue
to offer their high-quality and innovative services.
