PHOTOGRAMMETRIC ENGINEERING & REMOTE SENSING
Ta Liang Memorial Award
Caren Remillard
Ms. Remillard is a PhD. student in Geography at the Univer-
sity of Georgia specializing in geographic information systems
and remote sensing. She earned an MS in Geography (2014)
from the University of Georgia and a BA (2011) in anthropol-
ogy from Emory University. Remillard’s research focuses on
developing a model that uses freely available remote sens-
ing data to identify suitable forest habitat for conservation in
Colombia. The model aims to identify areas that will assist
project partners in purchasing and protecting land to expand
the habitat of Cotton-top tamarins. The Ta Liang travel grant
