Results
The combined adjustment result of the four experimental re-
gions implemented using
ZY3-02
satellite laser data and stereo
images with the
RFM
_EC model is described in Table 5. The
root mean square error (
RMSE
) means the statistical result of
all
CPs
after adjustment. We compared the different combina-
tions of control data described in the Combined Adjustment
of Laser Altimetry Data and Stereo Images Section, which
contain those without any
GCPs
, only horizontal control
points, only laser elevation control points, and a combination
of horizontal and laser elevation control points. In the fourth
region, the elevation control points only derived from
GLAS
,
ZY3-02
SLA
, or both of them are experimental, respectively.
Figure 8. Different distribution of laser elevation control points; white circle represents the
ZY3-02
SLA
point, gray circle
represents the check point, and triangle represents the elevation control point selected from
ZY3-02
SLA
: (a) Four elevation
control points along the track, almost on the four corners; (b) only two points on only one side; (c) only two points on the
top; (d) two points in the middle; (e) only two points on the bottom; and (f) only two points on the diagonal.
